ISLAMABAD:
An extent 4.7 seismic tremor estimating struck Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with its focal point situated in southeastern Afghanistan.
The quakes were felt across different areas including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Smack, Malakand, North Waziristan, Parachinar, Lower Dir, Hangu, Charsadda, and Swabi.
There were no underlying reports of harm or setbacks.
The tremor's profundity was recorded at 98 km underground. As per the US Geographical Overview, the seismic action was likewise felt in adjoining nations like Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
This occasion follows ongoing quake quakes experienced in various Pakistani urban areas.
On Walk 13, a quake of 5.3 size shocked different areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, without any reports of any harms or setbacks, Express News detailed.
As per the Public Seismic Checking Center (NSMC), other than Islamabad, quakes were felt in Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Kohat, Smack, Buner, Shangla, Nowshera, and Sialkot.
The seismic tremor estimated 5.3 on the Richter scale, while the profundity of the quake's focal point was 130 kilometers underground. The focal point of the seismic tremor was in the Hindukush area of Afghanistan.
Another 4.9 extent quake prior during the day had killed four individuals and harmed others in Iran's northeastern city of Kashmar, as per state media reports.
The tremor struck at 1:24pm (9:54am GMT), Kashmar's lead representative, Hajatollah Shariatmadari, who gave the setback cost, said on state TV.
35 individuals were hospitalized, he said, adding the tremor harmed generally haggard structures in metropolitan and rustic region of the city.
